Singer Adele has revealed some new details about her upcoming album.
The 鈥淪kyfall鈥 singer wrote on social media about her upcoming project, saying that 鈥渋f I had to label this one, I would call it a make-up record.鈥
There's no release date or track list. But fans are guessing the new album by the singer will be titled 鈥25鈥 (her previous albums were 鈥19鈥 and 鈥21," based on her age), as Adele ended her message by saying, 鈥25 is about getting to know who I鈥檝e become without realizing. And I鈥檓 sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.鈥
She's now the mother of a three-year old boy.聽
Adele鈥檚 2011 album 鈥21鈥 became a huge hit, spawning such popular tracks as 鈥淩olling In The Deep,鈥 鈥淩umor Has It,鈥 and 鈥淪omeone Like You.鈥 It was well-received by critics and dropped off the Billboard 200 chart, which measures album sales, only recently. As of earlier this year, it was still on the chart after four years. She picked up various Grammy Awards for 鈥21鈥 and the songs on it, including album of the year.聽
The singer also found success when she sang the title track of the 2012 movie 鈥淪kyfall.鈥 The song won a Grammy Award for best song written for visual media and won the Academy Award for best original song, the first from a James Bond movie to do so.聽
What is behind Adele鈥檚 appeal? One factor is most likely her vocal prowess. In 2011, she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards and stood out among fellow performers like Chris Brown, who used wires in his performance, by giving a performance of 鈥淪omeone鈥 that was light on stagecraft, with her performing dressed in black in front of a piano, but big on vocal power. the number 鈥渟tellar鈥 and 鈥渉eartfelt.鈥
In addition, her songs, many of which are written by Adele, appeal to a wide range of listeners. writer Ryan Reed described the songs on Adele鈥檚 鈥21,鈥 鈥渨ell-manicured鈥 shoot[ing] straight for the pop charts鈥 and reviewer Leah Greenblatt calling the songs 鈥渢imeless.鈥澛
With these factors no doubt still with her, Adele鈥檚 next album is almost guaranteed to be a hit.
