Delinquent home loans increase

In January, 3.08 percent of non-credit enhanced loans went seriously delinquent.

This Fannie Mae chart shows the percentage of "seriously delinquent loans" per total loans since 1998. The percentage has cooled off a bit since spiking in 2010.

The latest release of the Fannie Mae Monthly indicated that total serious single family delinquency increased slightly in January while remaining at distressed levels.

In January, 3.08% of non-credit enhanced loans went seriously delinquent while the level was 9.03% of credit enhanced loans resulting in an overall total single family delinquency of 3.90%.
