Pulitzer Prize-winning biography 'Lindbergh' will be the subject of a new miniseries

The miniseries, based on the book by A. Scott Berg, will be written by Oscar-winning 'Milk' screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

Paramount Television will produce a miniseries titled 鈥淟indbergh鈥 that will be based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning 1998 biography of the aviator of the same name by A. Scott Berg.聽

鈥淢ilk鈥 writer Dustin Lance Black, who won an Oscar for his screenplay for the 2008 film, will adapt the book for the miniseries.

Meanwhile, Berg said of Black鈥檚 selection in a statement, according to Deadline, 鈥淭he life of Charles Lindbergh is one of the most cinematic stories of the last century 鈥 one in which he was cast as a legendary hero, victim, and villain. I鈥檓 thrilled that Lance Black 鈥 with his passion for history on top of his great talent 鈥 will be transposing the story to the screen, giving full scope to the unexpected personal drama as well as the dazzling public spectacle of this unique life.鈥

Black himself spoke about how Lindbergh鈥檚 life echoes what鈥檚 happening in the world today.

As noted by Deadline writer Anita Busch, this isn鈥檛 the first time DiCaprio is involved with a biographical project about a famous airman 鈥 he received an Oscar nomination for portraying Howard Hughes in the 2004 movie 鈥淭he Aviator.鈥澛
