Not Gandhi鈥檚 India anymore
Reporters on the Job: Today鈥檚 story about Americans moving to India to find work (read the story here) cut close to home since I moved here myself only a month ago.
There are hassles, to be sure, with living here. But the moment I saw raclette cheese in a local store in Delhi I knew living here wasn鈥檛 going to have to be one of Gandhian simplicity and patience.
鈥淚 think the vision people have of India is 50 to 60 years old. I think people need to fast-forward it a bit,鈥 Michelle Vega, an American lawyer living here, told me.
