Tiger Woods shot a seven over par 77 Thursday in the first round of the 93rd PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Georgia.

included five bogeys, three double bogeys, and four birdies. Last week, Woods finished tied for 37th at the in Ohio, his first golf action in three months after recovering from a injuries to his leg.

Meanwhile, Steve Stricker was on fire. The veteran PGA tour pro fired a seven under 63 and took the early first round lead.

Stricker with three consecutive birdies, and added four more during the course of his first round. The Wisconsin native has already this year, capturing both the Memorial Tournament and John Deere Classic.

Fellow Wisconsinite Jerry Kelly shot a five under 65 Thursday, good for second place so far.
