Donovan McNabb reportedly headed to Vikings, while other NFL players line up new deals

Donovan McNabb is about to be traded from the Redskins to the Vikings. There are other quarterbacks set to join Donovan McNabb in changing NFL teams.

Now that the NFL players and owners have agreed to a new collective bargainIng agreement, player trades and free agent signings can begin in earnest.

For Donovan McNabb, it's apparently one year and done in Washington, D.C.

The Redskins one-time starting quarterback in 2010 is for a pair of sixth-round draft choices. This, after Washington traded for the ex-Eagle last year, only to see his deteriorate.

Also changing teams is free agent quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who helped the Seahawks reach Super Bowl XL in 2006. According to online reports, he is , where he could become the starter this year. Hasselbeck could also mentor rookie first-round draft choice Jake Locker, who may take over the job perhaps next year.

Completing that quarterback circle of change, former Vikings quarterback Tavaris Jackson will , where he will compete against Charlie Whitehurst for the Seahawks' starting job.

In other NFL news, online reports Wednesday say the Carolina Panthers will re-sign to a five-year, $43 million contract.

The New York Jets will re-sign to a five-year, $50 million deal, according to online reports. Due to the new CBA, teams cannot sign players until Friday.
