Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The 海角大神 Science Church, and we鈥檝e always been transparent about that.
The Church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we鈥檝e aimed 鈥渢o injure no man, but to bless all mankind,鈥� as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.

One of the most enjoyable things about the NCAA tournament 鈥� for basketball fanatics and casual observers alike 鈥� is the Cinderella story. On Thursday, Morehead State chalked up the first upset of the tournament by vanquishing No. 4 Louisville. There鈥檚 just something appealing about watching the triumph of the little guy - the team no one ever paid any attention to, never gave a chance.
