College football 2015 TV schedule: Who to watch Saturday

A number of schools in The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll will get their 2015 seasons underway this weekend.

The opening week of college football continues Saturday with a host of season-opening games around the country.

As usual on a college football Saturday, games get started at noon Eastern time. And within , No. 9 will play host to at that hour. You can watch this contest on ESPN's Southeastern Conference (SEC) TV network.

Staying in the noon hour Saturday, No. 21 travels to Evanston, Illinois, to take on . This game will be televised on ESPN.

Moving to mid-afternoon, sixth-ranked will meet in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern and be broadcast on CBS.

No. 13 will play host to at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Fox will have the broadcast of this contest at 3:30 p.m.

, ranked 18th by the AP in their preseason poll, will play . This game also kicks off at 3:30 p.m. and can be seen on ESPNU.

No. 25 returns to the national spotlight after several average seasons. The Volunteers take on in Nashville at 4 p.m. Eastern on the ESPN SEC Network.

Saturday evening, there's more action on the gridiron, starting with 15th-ranked meeting in Houston. ESPN will have this contest, beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern.

, ranked 11th in the AP poll, will host the at South Bend, Indiana, Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. NBC will televise this contest of two tradition-rich college football programs.

Speaking of Texas, one of the marquee matchups of the weekend will take place Saturday night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. No. 3 will meet 20th-ranked at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC.

Also at 8 Eastern, seventh-ranked opens its 2015 season with a home game against . This game can be seen on the Pac-12 TV network.

No. 10 plays host to at 8 p.m. on ESPNNews.

And finally, eighth-ranked will meet in Los Angeles at 11 p.m. Eastern time, also on the Pac-12 TV network.
