The Arizona congresswoman 鈥 an Ironman triathlete, PhD, and the first openly bisexual member of Congress 鈥 also supports more liberal issues, including abortion rights, restrictions on gun purchases, same-sex marriage, and the DREAM act.
Sinema says she doesn鈥檛 care about partisan lines. Instead, she is willing to work with 鈥渁nyone serious鈥 about finding solutions to national problems.
鈥淚鈥檓 very concerned about the tone of politics in recent years,鈥 said Sinema for Time magazine鈥檚 鈥40 Under 40鈥 issue. 鈥淲e鈥檝e seen a decline in civility and bipartisanship, and a rapid increase in hostility between those who have differing opinions.
