This fall 2010 extravaganza took Steele to more than 100 cities across the United States in a big red motor coach with 鈥淣eed a job? Fire Pelosi!鈥 emblazoned on the side. Some Republicans liked the tour, because it helped call attention to the GOP goal of taking over the House and getting Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D) out of the speaker鈥檚 chair 鈥 a goal Republicans accomplished. But others felt it wasn鈥檛 the best of use of funds for a cash-strapped RNC. In addition, the bus spent almost half its time in congressional districts that weren鈥檛 in play. One RNC member called it a 鈥Michael Steele reelection tour.鈥
