Baltimore tornado? National Weather Service confirms 3 Maryland tornadoes

A tornado touched down in Baltimore, Fork (in Baltimore County), and Coltons Point today. The Baltimore-area tornadoes were all rated EF-0, the lowest-energy tornado.

Baltimore, Fork, and Coltons Point all saw a tornado touch down today, the National Weather Service has confirmed.聽

In a statement posted on its website Tuesday afternoon, the weather service says all three Maryland tornadoes were rated EF-0.

The聽tornado聽in Fork, which is in聽Baltimore聽County, touched down about 3:20 p.m. with estimated maximum winds of 80 mph.

In聽Baltimore, the聽tornado聽was reported about 3:44 p.m. at Locust Point. The Weather Service says a waterspout over the Patapsco River came onshore. Wind was estimated at 80 mph.

In Coltons Point in St. Mary's County, a聽tornado聽touched down about 9 p.m. with maximum winds of 65 mph.

No injuries were reported in any of the聽tornadoes.
