At one point in the WikiLeaks cables US officials equate Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with Adolf Hitler. But that鈥檚 par for the course 鈥� the cables also show that many nations are furious with Iran and angry about its march toward nuclear weapons capabilities.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak told a US diplomat that President Ahmadinejad 鈥渄oes not think rationally鈥� and that Iran is always 鈥渟tirring up trouble,鈥� for instance. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia told Iran鈥檚 foreign minister to 鈥渟pare us your evil鈥� in a meeting. And Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassam bin Jaber al-Thani summarized for US diplomats his nation鈥檚 approach to diplomacy with Iran: 鈥淭hey lie to us and we lie to them.鈥�
