The Third Congressional District of Michigan, centered on Grand Rapids, is GOP-leaning territory, so Republican House candidate Justin Amash is favored to win.

Mr. Amash, a young member of the Michigan House of Representatives, is something of a tea party and new media star, with a heavy presence on Facebook and some national conservative support. His campaign literature stresses his commitment to 鈥渓imited government, free markets, and individual liberty.鈥 He has been endorsed by Rep. Ron Paul (R) of Texas 鈥 the libertarian father of Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul.
