School bus slams into Philly-area home, no injuries reported

Officials say nine students from St. Helena School were aboard when the bus crashed around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday in Blue Bell, Whitpain Township.

No one was injured when a聽school聽bus聽slammed into a suburban Philadelphia home.

Officials say nine students from St. Helena聽School聽were aboard when the聽bus聽crashed around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday in Blue Bell, Whitpain Township.

Township officials say the driver of the Wissahickon聽School聽District聽bus聽was taken to Abington Hospital. A person inside the home was not injured.

Images show the back end of the yellow聽school聽bus聽sticking out of the living room area of the home on winding Windermere Drive.

Whitpain Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

St. Helena聽School聽is a Catholic聽school聽in Blue Bell serving students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grades.

The聽school's聽phones had a busy signal Tuesday morning. The principal didn't immediately return an email message.
