Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift will perform at the MTV VMAs

The MTV Video Music Awards will open with a "Bang."
Ariana Grande,聽Nicki聽Minaj, and Jessie J will kick off Sunday's awards show with their new song, "Bang Bang." It will be the first time the trio performs the Top 10 hit.
Grande and聽Minaj聽will also perform separately during the VMAs, to air live from the Forum in Inglewood, California.
Beyonce is the top nominee and will compete for eight awards, including video of the year for "Drunk in Love." She will also receive the Michael Jackson video vanguard award.
Beyonce will take the stage Sunday night, where other performers include Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, and Iggy Azalea, who has seven nominations.
Eminem is also nominated for seven moonmen.
Swift released her new song 鈥淪hake It Off鈥 earlier this week and announced that her upcoming album 鈥1989" will be released this October. The singer said during a live stream that 鈥1989鈥 will be her 鈥渇irst documented, official pop album.鈥 Swift said she was inspired to write 鈥淪hake鈥 after discovering that 鈥減eople can say whatever they want about us, at any time. The only thing we can control is our reaction to that.鈥
Meanwhile, Minaj, who recently released a new single, "Anaconda,"聽told earlier this month that her new album, titled 鈥淭he Pink Print,鈥 will be released 鈥渋n the fourth quarter of the year.鈥
鈥淪onically I think the album sounds so amazing,鈥 she said. 鈥淎nd there are so many surprises on the album. I had [rapper] Drake come by the studio the other day and he was like 鈥極h my God, you鈥檙e talking about new stuff, I鈥檓 so proud of you.鈥 And that鈥檚 what I鈥檓 most excited about. I鈥檓 speaking about new things on this album. I鈥檓 excited I鈥檓 not allowing anyone else to define what the album is going to be.鈥
