'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart': Here's who could appear on Stewart's final episode

The last 鈥淒aily Show鈥 episode hosted by Jon Stewart is set to air on Aug. 6, bringing the comedian鈥檚 16-year tenure to a close.
Stewart has skewered politicians and the media through multiple elections and the Comedy Central show under his watch has launched various stars, including Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Larry Wilmore, Ed Helms, and John Oliver.聽
He announced this past February that he would be leaving the show, , 鈥淚 don鈥檛 have any specific plans. Got a lot of ideas. I got a lot of things in my head. I鈥檓 going to have dinner on a school night with my family, who I have heard from multiple sources are lovely people鈥 this show doesn鈥檛 deserve an even slightly restless host, and neither do you.鈥
He took a brief break in the summer of 2013 to direct the film 鈥淩osewater.鈥 Oliver served as guest host in his place.聽
鈥淒aily Show鈥 correspondent Trevor Noah will be taking over hosting duties and Stewart鈥檚 guests during his final week of hosting have included actor Denis Leary, Amy Schumer of 鈥淭rainwreck,鈥 and Louis C.K. of the FX show 鈥淟ouie.鈥
What can we expect from the last episode with Stewart? It seems more than likely that Colbert, who is set to take over CBS鈥檚 鈥淟ate Show,鈥 will stop by (Stewart popped up on Colbert鈥檚 last episode of Colbert's Comedy Central program 鈥淭he Colbert Report鈥). It also is possible that old colleagues like Carell, Helms, Oliver, Jason Jones, or Samantha Bee will make their way back.聽
In addition, Stewart recently named comedian Colin Quinn as one of his favorite guests, along with Louis C.K. and Denis Leary, who both appeared on the show this week. Since Quinn has not, perhaps he鈥檒l appear for Stewart鈥檚 final show. Stewart has also said in the past that he鈥檚 a big fan of Bruce Springsteen, so the musician is a possibility as well.
鈥淭he Daily Show鈥 led by Jon Stewart changed both late-night television and politics. The program won multiple Emmy Awards and became an integral part of the political process, with a recent poll from the finding that 11 percent of adults 18 to 29 trusted 鈥淒aily鈥 and 鈥淭he Colbert鈥 the most of any news source.聽
His high profile also meant that he could bring attention to a cause, as he did with a bill that devoted federal money to the health care of 9/11 responders. The bill passed and Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, , 鈥淛on shining such a big, bright spotlight on Washington鈥檚 potentially tragic failure to put aside differences and get this done for America was, without a doubt, one of the biggest factors that led to the final agreement.鈥
Some recently questioned how much effect the Obama administration had on Stewart when it was revealed that he had met with the president multiple times. Stewart himself , 鈥淲e spent about five to seven minutes with Obama kind of scolding me not to turn young Americans cynical and I spent about five to seven minutes explaining to him I'm actually skeptically idealistic.鈥
Noah is set to take over in September.
