People's Choice Awards: Here's who took the big prizes

Scientists, actor Robert Downey Jr., and actress Jennifer Lawrence dominated the 2015 People鈥檚 Choice Awards, which were held on Jan. 7.
The CBS sitcom 鈥�The Big Bang Theory,鈥� which follows a group of scientists and their friends and romantic partners, awards such as favorite TV show and favorite network TV comedy, with 鈥淭heory鈥� actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting also winning for favorite comedic TV actress.
Meanwhile, actress Shailene Woodley鈥檚 film 鈥淭he Fault in Our Stars鈥� the prize for favorite dramatic film and she and actor Theo James won the favorite movie duo prize for their work in the dystopian film.聽
The favorite movie prize went to 鈥淢aleficent,鈥� the retelling of the 鈥淪leeping Beauty鈥� tale that starred Angelina Jolie (it was also selected as the favorite family movie of the year), and actor Robert Downey Jr. won both the favorite movie actor prize and the favorite dramatic movie actor award. 鈥淭he Hunger Games: Mockingjay 颅鈥� Part 1鈥� actress Jennifer Lawrence took the favorite movie actress prize and the favorite action movie actress prize.聽
The favorite action movie award went to 鈥淒ivergent,鈥� and 鈥�22 Jump Street鈥� was chosen as the favorite comedic movie of the year. Adam Sandler and Melissa McCarthy took the favorite comedic movie actor and actress prizes, respectively, while Chloe Grace Moretz of 鈥淚f I Stay鈥� won the favorite dramatic movie actress award. 鈥淐aptain America: The Winter Soldier鈥� actor Chris Evans won the favorite action movie actor prize, and the movie 鈥淕one Girl鈥� won the favorite thriller movie award.聽
Meanwhile, in TV, besides the victories won by 鈥淭heory,鈥� winners included 鈥淕rey鈥檚 Anatomy鈥� taking the favorite network TV drama prize and 鈥淭he Flash鈥� winning the favorite new TV drama award, with 鈥淛ane the Virgin鈥� taking the favorite new TV comedy prize. Chris Colfer of 鈥淕lee鈥� won the favorite comedic TV actor prize, and Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey of 鈥淕rey鈥檚鈥� took the favorite dramatic TV actor and actress prizes, respectively. The singing competition 鈥淭he Voice鈥� won the favorite competition TV show award.
For the music categories, Ed Sheeran won the favorite male artist award and Taylor Swift took the favorite female artist prize, while Maroon 5 was selected as the favorite group and Sheeran鈥檚 鈥渪鈥� was chosen as the favorite album of the year. Swift鈥檚 song 鈥淪hake It Off鈥� was selected as the favorite track of the year, while the group 5 Seconds of Summer was chosen as the favorite breakout artist.
Actress Betty White was selected for the favorite TV icon award, while 鈥淕one Girl鈥� actor Ben Affleck received the favorite humanitarian award.
