Actor Billy Crystal will reportedly honor Robin Williams at the upcoming Emmy Awards, which will air on Aug. 25.

In addition to starring in such films as 鈥淕ood Morning, Vietnam,鈥� 鈥淕ood Will Hunting,鈥� and 鈥淎laddin,鈥� Williams, who died on Aug. 11, appeared in such TV shows as 鈥淢ork & Mindy鈥� and 鈥淭he Crazy Ones.鈥澛�

According to the , Emmy Awards executive producer Don Mischer said Crystal would pay tribute to Williams during the 鈥渋n memoriam鈥� part of the show, where various members of the TV business who died within the last year are shown. Mischer said singer Sara Bareilles will perform during the 鈥渋n memoriam鈥� section of the awards ceremony.

Crystal and Williams appeared in the 1997 movie 鈥淔ather鈥檚 Day鈥� together and, according to the , the two were friends for many years. Following Williams鈥� death on Aug. 12, Crystal tweeted,

Williams also starred in such films as the 1982 movie 鈥淭he World According to Garp,鈥� 1989鈥檚 鈥淒ead Poets Society,鈥� and the 1991 film 鈥淗ook,鈥� among many others. There are still several movies in which he appears that have not hit theaters yet, including the newest installment in the 鈥淣ight at the Museum鈥� series, December鈥檚 鈥淣ight at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,鈥� and the comedy 鈥淎bsolutely Anything,鈥� which is directed by Monty Python member Terry Jones. 鈥淎nything鈥� star Simon Pegg recently said that he was 鈥渘ot sure Robin had completed doing his voice in the movie,鈥� according to the , but producers Ben Timlett and Bill Jones said in a statement that 鈥渨e are able to confirm that Robin Williams completed his voice recording for the role of Dennis.鈥�

Crystal recently appeared in the 2013 animated film 鈥淢onsters University鈥� and the 2012 comedy 鈥淧arental Guidance,鈥� among other work. He is starring with 鈥淔rozen鈥� actor Josh Gad on the upcoming TV series 鈥淭he Comedians,鈥� which will air on FX in 2015, according to the .
