Sandra Bullock of 'Gravity' is highest-earning actress, says Forbes

Actress Sandra Bullock took first place on 鈥� recent list of highest-paid actresses.
According to Forbes' estimates, Bullock earned $51 million between June 2013 and June 2014, a time period in which her box office hits 鈥淭he Heat,鈥� a police comedy co-starring Melissa McCarthy, and 鈥淕ravity,鈥� a sci-fi epic co-starring George Clooney, were released.聽
鈥淗eat鈥� director Paul Feig told last fall that writer Katie Dippold had finished a script for a sequel to the movie, but Bullock said in an interview with TheWrap, 鈥淚'm not doing a sequel to 鈥楾he Heat.鈥� I've done two sequels. They were horrible. What Melissa [McCarthy] and I had was beautiful. We might do another film together. I think we should do a silent film together."聽
Bullock was nominated for Best Actress at last year鈥檚 Oscars for her work in 鈥淕ravity鈥� but lost to actress Cate Blanchett for Blanchett鈥檚 work in 鈥淏lue Jasmine.鈥澛�
As for future projects, Bullock is on board to provide her voice for the upcoming animated film 鈥淭he Minions,鈥� according to . The movie is based on the small yellow creatures seen in the 鈥淒espicable Me鈥� movies and is slated to be released in 2015.
Coming in at number two on Forbes鈥� list is actress Jennifer Lawrence, who earned $34 million in the chosen time frame, according to Forbes estimates. Lawrence starred in the 2013 movies 鈥淭he Hunger Games: Catching Fire鈥� and 鈥淎merican Hustle,鈥� for which she earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress, as well as appearing in the 2014 film 鈥淴-Men: Days of Future Past.鈥�
Actress Jennifer Aniston, who appeared in the 2013 comedy 鈥淲e鈥檙e the Millers,鈥� came in at third place, earning an estimated $31 million, according to Forbes, while actress Gwyneth Paltrow ranked fourth on the list, with Forbes estimating she took in $19 million. Paltrow starred in the 2013 superhero film 鈥淚ron Man 3."聽
Meanwhile, actress and director Angelina Jolie tied for fifth place on Forbes鈥� list with actress Cameron Diaz, with both earning an estimated $18 million, according to Forbes. Jolie starred in the 2014 movie 鈥淢aleficent,鈥� which is a re-imagining of the 鈥淪leeping Beauty鈥� fairy tale, while Diaz appeared in the 2013 movie 鈥淭he Counselor鈥� and the 2014 comedy 鈥淭he Other Woman.鈥�
