Mumford & Sons bring in comedic star power for new video

Fans may have gotten a surprise when they clicked on the new video for band Mumford & Sons鈥 song 鈥淗opeless Wanderer.鈥
鈥淗ere鈥檚 the new video for 鈥楬opeless Wanderer,鈥 featuring Mumf鈥 oh wait,鈥 the video on the band鈥檚 read.
The video for 鈥淲anderer鈥 has actors Jason Bateman, Will Forte, Jason Sudeikis, and Ed Helms instead of the usual quartet of members that makes up the folk band. The comedians engage in goofy antics such as playing their instruments in a boat, getting very close to the camera, and Sudeikis kissing Forte. They also break many of their instruments near the end of the video.
The video only shows the actors鈥 hands on instruments or hides their faces until about a minute into the song, when it鈥檚 revealed that the actors are taking on the band鈥檚 parts.聽
tweeted out the video, writing 鈥淩ock and roll history...,鈥 while also tweeted a link to the video and wrote, 鈥淧roud to be a fake member of @MumfordAndSons I think we showed a lot of fake artistic integrity in new video.鈥
Mumford & Sons formed in 2007 and won Album of the Year for their CD 鈥淏abel鈥 at the Grammy Awards in 2013. They recently performed at the Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago.
Sudeikis stars in the comedy 鈥淲e Are the Millers,鈥 which is hitting theaters Aug. 7, while Bateman鈥檚 Fox series 鈥Arrested Development,鈥 which originally ran from 2003 to 2006, recently aired a new season on Netflix. Helms鈥 NBC sitcom 鈥淭he Office鈥 wrapped its final season this past spring and he鈥檚 also appearing in 鈥淢illers鈥 with Sudeikis and appeared in the new episodes of 鈥淒evelopment.鈥 Forte, who starred on 鈥Saturday Night Live鈥 with Sudeikis, recently appeared in "Grown Ups 2" and is voicing a character in the upcoming animated film 鈥Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.鈥
