'Two and a Half Men' will kill off Charlie Sheen

When CBS鈥檚 hit series 鈥楾wo and a Half Men鈥� makes its return this fall, make sure to have some tissues handy: there鈥檚 going to be a death in the family. Chuck Lorre is making sure there is no way Charlie Sheen could ever return by killing off his character, Charlie Harper. Joining the 'Two and a Half Men' cast is Ashton Kutcher.

With production for Two and a Half Men season 9 currently underway, details of how Charlie Sheen鈥檚 character, Charlie Harper, from the popular CBS comedy have been revealed.

According to , sources connected with the show are saying that Chuck Lorre is making sure that there鈥檚 to the series by violently killing off his character.

While the premiere is not set to film until August 5 鈥� and Lorre is known for making last-minute changes to the script 鈥� some of the death scenarios being discussed would include .

As for Ashton Kutcher, sources are saying that his character, Raymond, will enter the series as the person who purchases Charlie鈥檚 home after his death. At this time, nothing else has been revealed about his character, but Kutcher is reportedly making $20 million for on the series.

Even though Sheen鈥檚 antics involving have been continuously reported in every news medium, it鈥檒l be interesting to see how violently killing off one of the series鈥� focal characters will be received by its viewers. While it can be said that television viewers are extremely loyal, the overt decimation of Charlie Harper may leave a bad taste in the mouth of those looking to watch an actual comedy series.

One can appropriately speculate that once Kutcher takes the stage, things will progress smoothly. That being said, one can鈥檛 simply ignore Lorre鈥檚 need to use Two and a Half Mento towards Sheen in such a passive aggressive manner.

Despite the fact that the landscape of television is filled with countless examples of roles being recast, the replacement always stays true to the series in which it鈥檚 happening 鈥� or it鈥檚 simply not mentioned. I suppose we鈥檒l have to wait until this fall to see how violently killing off the main character plays on a comedic sitcom.
