Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass displays his skills in the 2010 film.

After his X-Men: First Class premieres next week in theaters, what鈥檚 director Mathew Vaughn to do next? A X-Men: First Classsequel ()? Or the much rumored Kick-Ass 2 (, , and )?

Vaughn explains why he thinks a Kick-Ass 2won鈥檛 happen:

Everyone says we鈥檙e doing Kick-Ass 2 but鈥 the weird thing about Kick-Ass 2 is I鈥檇 love to do it, because I enjoyed it so much, but I鈥檓 a big believer that if you鈥檙e going to do a sequel it鈥檚 got to be as good as the first one if not better. I just don鈥檛 know how I could鈥 My business brain just says do Kick-Ass 2, shoot it and get it out there and it would make a lot of money but I really do love that movie. It was a special moment to me making that film and I don鈥檛 want to spoil it. I鈥檓 not saying it鈥檚 as good as Pulp Fiction but I think it would be weird if Tarantino did Pulp Fiction 2. Everything that made Kick-Ass original and fun, if you do it again, it would be crass鈥︹赌

I expect this project won鈥檛 ever happen beyond the comic books.
