But the app鈥檚 main purpose is to make the world鈥檚 artwork widely accessible. One of its newest collections is the complete (known) work of Johannes Vermeer, the Dutch painter famous for 鈥淕irl with a Pearl Earring.鈥� In total, 18 museums across seven different countries have contributed 36 paintings to the feature.
