Boeing is one of four companies 鈥� along with Blue Origin, Sierra Nevada Corp., and SpaceX 鈥� that NASA is relying on to develop manned spaceships or 鈥淪pace taxis鈥� to launch astronauts into Earth鈥檚 orbit and to the International Space Station by 2017, filling the void left by the Space Shuttle鈥檚 disbandment.
