Frozen Niagara Falls? OK, partially frozen.

Frozen Niagara Falls came as a 'polar vortex' hit much of the US with extreme, low temperatures. Photographer Aaron Harris captured a partially frozen Niagara Falls for Reuters.

A frozen Niagara Falls on the American side is pictured. The frigid air and "polar vortex" that affected about 240 million people in the United States and southern Canada will depart during the second half of this week, and a far-reaching January thaw will begin, according to AccuWeather.com.

罢丑别听聽hitting the U.S. with insanely-low temperatures has also offered the opportunity for some聽聽鈥 and now we've got some from the frozen聽Niagara Falls.

At the falls, where the temperature has been hovering in the low teens, Reuters photographer聽Aaron Harris took these shots of a partially frozen area of the falls on the U.S. side on Wednesday.

While there is聽聽floating around, it's worth noting that the falls are not completely frozen over. You can see them聽
