It鈥檚 about eminent domain, and about affordable housing as a NIMBY 鈥 鈥渘ot in my backyard鈥 鈥 issue. It has a twist: It鈥檚 about a legal bid to take land 鈥 not to build, but to prevent building. But in our chat about the core players, all descended from Italian immigrants, something deeper emerged: At its root, this was a story about about two very different definitions of the American dream.
