The U.S. Attorney鈥檚 Office ten internet sites for allegedly live streaming copyrighted sporting events.
鈥淭he illegal streaming of professional sporting events over the Internet deals a financial body blow to the leagues and broadcasters who are forced to pass their losses off to fans by raising prices for tickets and pay-per-view events,鈥 Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said.
Visitors to the site, instead of being able to watch a sporting event (real or fake) will be greeted with 鈥淭his domain has been seized by ICE 鈥 Homeland Security Investigations.鈥
It appears that the same folks that are patting you down at the airport are making sure you don鈥檛 鈥渟teal鈥 any content from the major sports leagues and wrestling confederations.
