Apple Pay is here. Will it work with your credit card?
Apple鈥檚 much-anticipated mobile payment system, Apple Pay, officially launched Monday, Oct. 20, allowing millions of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ 聽users to make point-of-sale purchases using their devices. Unlike other mobile wallet systems, such as聽PayPal and Google Wallet, Apple Pay incorporates users鈥� existing credit and debit cards, allowing users to virtually switch between cards prior to making a purchase.
Will my card work with Apple Pay?
Some credit and debit card issuers have been聽touting capability to their cardholders. Prior to launch, Apple struck deals with Visa, MasterCard and American Express, as well as with some 500 banks.聽But it鈥檚 still unclear to some consumers whether their credit or debit card will work with the mobile wallet.
