ADP: Private employers added 175,000 new jobs in January

ADP reported that the bulk of job growth in the U.S. last month came from small- and medium-sized employers -- companies with fewer than 500 workers.

While the total employment reported in January is part of an overall increase in jobs since 2010, the economy still hasn't recovered all the jobs lost during the Great Recession.

Today, private staffing and business services firm released the indicating that the situation for private employment in the U.S. improved in听January as private employers added 175,000 jobs in the month bringing the total employment level 1.95% above the level seen in January 2013.


Look for Friday鈥檚 (possibly postponed) BLS Employment Situation Report to likely show somewhat similar trends.
