Need to catch up on all the recent GM recalls and verify what might affect your聽vehicle? General Motors has this past week released a table outlining its vehicle recalls so far in 2014, through May鈥攊ncluding the much-covered ignition-switch-related recalls. And it's actually a good place to start.

The sheet sums a running total of 29 individual recall issues, affecting nearly 13.8 million聽vehicles聽for the US and more than 15.8 million vehicles for North America鈥攁nd totals do include exports.

It's a bold, unprecedented move for an automaker to sum up recall efforts in such a way, as they often shy away from highlighting these campaigns once underway. But with the number of deaths nearing 60 by the latest estimates, and a continued spotlight on the company from Washington, this is an exceptional series of recall campaigns, and the effort helps keep owners and the media fully in the loop.

outlines three key recall efforts in the ignition-switch scandal (on US-market terms):

  • A February 25 recall of about 1.37 million vehicles for 鈥渋gnition switch torque performance鈥濃攁ffecting the 2005-2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5; 2003-2007 Saturn Ion; 2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR; 2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice; and 2007 Saturn Sky.
  • A March 28 expanded recall, also for 鈥渋gnition switch torque performance,鈥 affecting 823,788 vehicles, and the 2008-2011 Chevrolet HHR; 2008-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt; 2008-2010 Pontiac G5; 2008-2010 Pontiac Solstice; and 2008-2010 Saturn Sky.
  • An April 9 recall of about 2.19 million vehicles for the broader 鈥渋gnition cylinder鈥 issue, affecting 2005-2010 Chevy Cobalt; 2006-2010 Chevrolet HHR; 2003-2010 Pontiac G5; 2006-2010 Pontiac Solstice; 2003-2007 Saturn Ion; and 2007-2010 Saturn Sky.

If you own any of the affected vehicles, or you're not sure if your vehicle is affected, head to聽, or check directly with your dealership.
