These 10 companies have starting wages a touch higher than the $9 or $10 per hour that has become the industry standard for unskilled, entry-level workers. Can you guess which retailer comes out on top?

Starting wages: $11.00

In-N-Out, the California fast-food restaurant, offers employees $11.00 an hour plus flexible scheduling, free meals, paid vacation time, and a 401(k) retirement plan. In comparison, McDonalds offers entry-level employees $10 an hour, but only at company-owned stores. In-N-Out,refuses to ship products more than 500 miles, leaving the East coast barren of In-N-Out restaurants. The company is planning its newest location for Flagstaff, Ariz.
