'Boyhood' helmer Richard Linklater may direct 'Where'd You Go, Bernadette'

Linklater was recently nominated for Best Director for 'Boyhood.'

Richard Linklater may direct a movie adaptation of Maria Semple鈥檚 bestseller 鈥淲here鈥檇 You Go, Bernadette.鈥�

The 2012 book centers on Bernadette Fox and her daughter, Bee. When Bernadette vanishes before a family trip to Antarctica, Bee tries to discover what happened.

Linklater is in talks to take on the film, according to聽.

Linklater was nominated for a Best Director Oscar this year for his work on the Best Picture frontrunner 鈥淏oyhood鈥� (the prize went to the film 鈥淏irdman鈥�). The director has also helmed such movies as the 鈥淏efore鈥� series (鈥淏efore Sunrise,鈥� 鈥淏efore Sunset,鈥� and 鈥淏efore Midnight鈥�), 鈥淪chool of Rock,鈥� 鈥淒azed and Confused,鈥� and 鈥淏ernie.鈥�
