Why is the forthcoming book 'The ABLES' already appearing on bestseller lists?
Those perusing current online bestseller lists will see such expected titles as 鈥淭he Girl on the Train鈥� by Paula Hawkins and 鈥淎ll the Light We Cannot See鈥� by Anthony Doerr but will also spot a book that will most likely be unfamiliar to them 鈥� the book 鈥淭he ABLES鈥� by Jeremy Scott.听
鈥淭he ABLES鈥� isn鈥檛 coming out until May but is already at number nine on the bestseller list and at number 15 on 鈥檚 rankings. By comparison, the only other books above 鈥淎BLES鈥� on B&N's rankings that haven鈥檛 been released are Dr. Seuss鈥檚 鈥淲hat Pet Should I Get?鈥� and 鈥淟auren鈥檚 Kingdom,鈥� a book by child advocate and Congressional Medal of Merit recipient Lauren Book. On Amazon鈥檚 bestseller list, the only other as-yet-unpublished book above 鈥淎BLES鈥� is 鈥�To Kill a Mockingbird鈥� writer Harper Lee鈥檚 upcoming book 鈥淕o Set a Watchman."
So what is 鈥淭he ABLES鈥�? It鈥檚 a title about a teenager named Phillip who is blind and is told by his father that Phillip has telekinetic powers. He attends a school for those with similar powers but soon finds that others harass him because he is put in a special education class. He and his friends call themselves the Ables and discover that a malevolent force is going after humans.听
Scott is the co-creator of the YouTube channel , which posts videos about films and points out such flaws as plot developments that don鈥檛 make sense and continuity errors. Their most recently added movie-based video, 鈥淓verything Wrong With Gladiator In Nine Minutes Or Less,鈥� has more than 400,000 views. Their most-watched video, 鈥淓verything Wrong With Frozen In 10 Minutes Or Less,鈥� has more than 14 million.听
