'Game of Thrones' season 5: Check out the trailer
HBO has released a new trailer for the upcoming fifth season of the hit fantasy TV show 鈥�Game of Thrones.鈥�
鈥淭hrones鈥� is based on the book series 鈥�A Song of Ice and Fire鈥� by George R.R. Martin. Two episodes of the show鈥檚 previous season were recently released in IMAX movie theaters.聽
In the new clip, a character says in voiceover, 鈥淣othing鈥檚 more hateful than failing to protect the one you love.鈥� Viewers see siblings Cersei and Jaime Lannister, then treacherous advisor Petyr 鈥淟ittlefinger鈥� Baelish tells courtier Sansa Stark, 鈥淭here鈥檚 no justice in this world. Not unless we make it. Avenge them.鈥�
Part of the trailer shows a girl performing tricks with a whip 鈥� perhaps one of the Sand Snake characters set to be introduced this season?聽
Tommen Baratheon and his fianc茅, Margaery, are shown hand-in-hand in front of a cheering court, while former king鈥檚 advisor Varys tells Tyrion Lannister, 鈥淚 believe men of talent will have a part to play in the war to come.鈥�
鈥淚 will never sit on the Iron Throne,鈥� Tyrion says.
鈥淵ou could help another climb those steps and take that seat,鈥� Varys suggests. 鈥淭he seven kingdoms needs a ruler loved by millions with a powerful army and the right family name.鈥�
鈥淕ood luck finding him,鈥� Tyrion tells him.
鈥淲ho said anything about him?鈥� Varys inquires.
The new season of 鈥淭hrones鈥� premieres on April 12.
