'Gone Girl': A new trailer shows more of the twist-filled story

'Gone Girl' stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, a husband who comes under suspicion when his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) disappears.

A new trailer for the movie adaptation of Gillian Flynn鈥檚 bestseller 鈥淕one Girl鈥� has been released.

The film stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, who is considered the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike of 鈥淭he World鈥檚 End鈥�).

The trailer shows the two first meeting, with Nick telling Amy, 鈥淚鈥檓 the guy to save you from all this awesomeness.鈥� Later, Amy鈥檚 diary entries are read in voiceover, with her saying, 鈥淭he man of my dreams, this man of mine, may truly kill me.鈥�

It also shows Nick under fire as the investigation into Amy鈥檚 disappearance proceeds, with his lawyer Tanner Bolt (Tyler Perry) telling him, 鈥淲ithout a body, their only hope is a confession.鈥�

The movie is directed by David Fincher of the 2011 movie 鈥淭he Girl with the Dragon Tattoo鈥� and will be released on Oct. 3.聽
