'Game of Thrones': Have you already figured out the end of the series?
Have you guessed the ending to George R.R. Martin鈥檚 鈥淪ong of Ice and Fire鈥� series, which is the basis for the HBO smash hit series 鈥�Game of Thrones鈥�?
Martin says some people have.
According to the , while the author was at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, he admitted that some fans have figured out the ending to his books.聽
鈥淪ome of the theories are right,鈥� he said. 鈥淎t least one or two readers had put together the extremely subtle and obscure clues that I'd planted in the books and came to the right solution. So what do I do then? Do I change it? I wrestled with that issue and I came to the conclusion that changing it would be a disaster, because the clues were there. You can't do that, so I'm just going to go ahead.鈥�
Martin has released five books in the 鈥淪ong鈥� series and the sixth and seventh books are still being written. Martin鈥檚 editor Anne Groell recently said that she was 鈥渂egin[ning] to wonder鈥� if an eighth book would happen and after the quote sparked fan speculation, Martin told that he was still planning on seven books but to 鈥済et back to me when I鈥檓 halfway through Book Seven and then maybe I鈥檒l tell you something more meaningful."聽
The HBO series 鈥淕ame of Thrones鈥� concluded its fourth season earlier this summer.
