What are the 100 books that your child should not miss?
Amazon has released a new version of its 鈥�100 Books to Read in a Lifetime,鈥� this one centered on children鈥檚 books.
Newer titles on the list include the book 鈥淲onder鈥� by R.J. Palacio, 鈥淒on鈥檛 Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!鈥� by Mo Willems, 鈥�The Lightning Thief鈥� by Rick Riordan, 鈥淭he Tale of Despereaux鈥� by Kate DiCamillo, 鈥淕oodnight Goodnight Construction Site,鈥� by Sherri Duskey Rinker, "The Bad Beginning" by Lemony Snicket, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick, and the frequently-banned 鈥�And Tango Makes Three鈥� by Justin Richardson, which portrays two male penguins raising a baby.聽
The list is arranged alphabetically, so all titles are equal. Other books that made the cut include classics like 鈥淕oodnight Moon鈥� by Margaret Wise Brown, 鈥淟ittle House on the Prairie鈥� by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and 鈥淭he House at Pooh Corner鈥� by A.A. Milne.
Amazon鈥檚 picks also feature many overlaps with a list compiled by librarians at the New York Public Library in 2013, including 鈥�Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day鈥� by Judith Viorst, 鈥�Bridge to Terabithia鈥� by Katherine Paterson, 鈥淭he Westing Game鈥� by Ellen Raskin, and others.
