'Gone Girl' trailer delves more into the mystery of Gillian Flynn's novel

'Gone Girl' stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike.

A new trailer for the movie version of Gillian Flynn鈥檚 bestseller 鈥淕one Girl鈥� has been released.

The film stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, whose wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) disappears. He is soon suspected to have had a hand in her vanishing.

鈥淕one鈥� co-stars Carrie Coone of 鈥淭he Leftovers鈥� as Ben鈥檚 sister Margo, Neil Patrick Harris as Amy鈥檚 ex-boyfriend Desi Collings, and Tyler Perry as Nick鈥檚 lawyer Tanner Bolt.聽

鈥淚 had nothing to do with the disappearance of my wife,鈥� Nick tells a crowd of searchers. 鈥淚 have nothing to hide.鈥澛�

The trailer shows the investigation into Amy鈥檚 disappearance and includes voiceover from a diary kept by Amy.聽

鈥淚 feel like I could disappear,鈥� the diary reads. 鈥淚 am frightened of my own husband.鈥�
