Raymond Chandler will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Noir author Raymond Chandler will have his name put on a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Chandler, whose novels were the source of such classic films as 鈥淭he Big Sleep鈥� and 鈥淭he Long Goodbye,鈥� also worked as a screenwriter, penning the scripts for such acclaimed movies as 鈥淪trangers on a Train鈥� and 鈥淒ouble Indemnity."
Chandler is one of the few writers to receive stars on the famous path in comparison to the vast number of actors or directors who have been awarded them. Other writers include Dr. Seuss (also known as Theodor Geisel), Ogden Nash, Roger Ebert, Louella Parsons, and Ray Bradbury.听
Others who will receive stars on the Walk of Fame in 2015 include actors Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell, and Daniel Radcliffe as well as musician Pitbull, director Peter Jackson, and Bob Kane, co-creator of 鈥淏atman."
