Jason Segel will portray David Foster Wallace in the film 'The End of the Tour'
Writer David Lipsky鈥檚 book 鈥淎lthough Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace鈥� will be adapted into a film titled "The End of the Tour," with actor Jason Segel reportedly starring as Wallace and Jesse Eisenberg reportedly portraying Lipsky.
Wallace, an innovative, award-winning novelist who was also acclaimed for his nonfiction writing, committed suicide in 2008.
TheWrap reported that 鈥淭his Is the End鈥� actor Segel and Eisenberg of 鈥淣ow You See Me鈥� are on board and that 鈥淭he Spectacular Now鈥� director James Ponsoldt is directing the film. Writer Donald Margulies of the Tony-nominated play 鈥�Time Stands Still鈥� is reported to be writing the script.
"Yourself" follows Lipsky as he and Wallace travel the country for the book tour for Wallace鈥檚 novel 鈥淚nfinite Jest.鈥�
Lipsky is also the author of 鈥淎bsolutely American,鈥� among other works.
