'Unbroken' movie adaptation gains actors
The film adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand鈥檚 bestselling book 鈥淯nbroken,鈥� which will be directed by Angelina Jolie, is moving forward.
Actor Jack O鈥機onnell was recently cast as Louis Zamperini, the American Olympic track star whose plane crashed in the Pacific during World War II, causing Zamperini to be captured by the Japanese Navy. O鈥機onnell is appearing in the upcoming film 鈥�300: Rise of an Empire鈥� and stars on the British drama 鈥淪kins.鈥�
The production also recently cast the parts of 鈥淧hil鈥� (Russell Allen Phillips) and 鈥淢ac鈥� (Francis McNamara), the two men who were on the plane with Zamperini, according to . Actor Domhnall Gleeson of 鈥淗arry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2鈥� will play Phil, while Finn Wittrock, who starred on the soap opera 鈥淎ll My Children鈥� and will appear in the upcoming film 鈥淲inter鈥檚 Tale,鈥� will portray Mac.
The movie is expected to come to theaters for Christmas 2014.
