Movie 'How I Live Now,' based on a YA novel set during World War III, gets a trailer

'How I Live Now' is being adapted into a film starring 'The Host' actress Saoirse Ronan.

A trailer for the movie adaptation of Meg Rosoff鈥檚 novel 鈥淗ow I Live Now鈥 has been released.

鈥淗ow I Live Now鈥 follows Daisy (whose real name is Elizabeth), an American who is sent to live with cousins in England as a world war is beginning. She becomes close with her extended family, including her cousin Edmond, before enemies arrive to occupy the country.

The book was first released in 2004 and the movie adaptation stars Saoirse Ronan of 鈥The Lovely Bones鈥 and 鈥淭he Host鈥 as Daisy and 鈥淒efiance鈥 actor George Mackay as Edmond, Daisy鈥檚 cousin with whom she falls in love. Anna Chancellor, who appeared in the TV show 鈥淭he Hour鈥 and the movie 鈥淗ysteria,鈥 is playing Daisy鈥檚 aunt Penn.

Kevin Macdonald, who was behind the movies 鈥淭he Eagle鈥 and 鈥淪tate of Play,鈥 is directing. The film is scheduled to debut Oct. 4 in the UK, but no US release date has been set, although is planning to release the film in the US.
