Ethan Hawke will reportedly star in a film adaptation of the Shakespeare play 'Cymbeline.'

Ethan Hawke is reported to be returning to Shakespeare with a film adaptation of the Bard鈥檚 play 鈥淐ymbeline.鈥澛

Hawke, who starred as Hamlet in a 2000 modern-day film adaptation of the tragedy, is said to be set to star in a film adaptation of the play with 鈥淗amlet鈥 director Michael Almereyda.

It鈥檚 currently unknown what part the actor will play, but the film adaptation will, like 鈥淗amlet,鈥 reportedly update the action. Instead of Romans and Celts facing off, as in Shakespeare鈥檚 original story, the conflict would be between a group of bikers and corrupt policemen.

According to , 鈥淕ame Change鈥 actor Ed Harris has signed on to play the part of King Cymbeline.

The action of Shakespeare鈥檚 play, which is believed to be one of his later works, follows a princess named Imogen, who has secretly married a member of her father鈥檚 court against his wishes, and Cymbeline, who is struggling with relations between himself and Caesar Augustus.

In addition to appearing in the film version of "Hamlet," Hawke appeared on Broadway in the role of Henry Percy in a 2003 production of "Henry IV" and is currently slated to appear as Macbeth in the show on Broadway this November.
