'The Office' actor Rainn Wilson will release a book in 2014
鈥淭he Office鈥� actor Rainn Wilson will write a memoir 鈥� kind of.
Wilson is writing a book for Penguin Random House imprint Dutton. He says it will chronicle his time growing up, a period in which he lived in New York, and his time acting on 鈥淭he Office,鈥� but says he wouldn鈥檛 attach the word 鈥渕emoir鈥� to the project.
鈥淚f I were in my 80s, had cured a disease and survived a war, I would be entitled to write a memoir,鈥� he said in a . 鈥淣o. The guy who is best known for playing a paper salesman with a bad haircut, tweeting fart jokes and starting a quirky spirituality website does not merit a 'memoir'. For the time being, let's call it a 'Serio-Comic Examination of my Life in Art, Faith and Comedy. And beets.鈥�
The book is scheduled to be published in fall 2014.
Wilson is best-known for starring as salesman Dwight Schrute on the NBC comedy 鈥淭he Office,鈥� which ended last year, and also appeared in the 2008 movie 鈥淭he Rocker鈥� and 2010鈥檚 鈥�Super.鈥�
