J.K. Rowling's novel for adults gets a title and plot summary
According to her publisher, the title of J.K. Rowling鈥檚 book for adults will be 鈥淭he Casual Vacancy.鈥�
鈥淭he Casual Vacancy,鈥� which will be released on Sept. 27, will revolve around the sudden death of a parish council member in the British town of Pagford.
鈥淧agford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey,鈥� reads from Rowling鈥檚 publisher Little, Brown. 鈥淏ut what lies behind the pretty fa莽ade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.鈥�
An election for the new parish council seat will lead to deception and surprises, according to the publisher.
鈥淭he Casual Vacancy鈥� will be released in e-book form and audio and CD downloads as well as print.
