A book from Obama's sister
It worked out really well for her brother (both "" and "" are global bestsellers), so it's probably not surprising that Obama's sister is trying her hand at book writing as well.
Maya Soetoro-Ng, sister of President Obama, has signed a deal with for her picture book "Ladder to the Moon."聽 According to , the book "imagines what lessons Soetoro-Ng鈥檚 four-year-old daughter might have learned from her grandmother (Soetoro-Ng鈥檚 and Obama鈥檚 mother) if the two had ever met."
Soetoro-Ng is a writer and educator with a PhD in international comparative education. She is a high-school history teacher at La Pietra: Hawaii School for Girls in Honolulu. She also teaches night classes at the University of Hawaii.
"Ladder to the Moon" will be her first book.聽 No date has yet been set for its release.
