Books that go to the Oscars
It was certainly nice to see Cormac McCarthy sitting in the audience last night as 鈥�No Country for Old Men鈥� took four Oscars.
But of course his wasn鈥檛 the only book to score a big win.
鈥�The Bourne Ultimatum鈥� came from Robert Ludlum鈥檚 book. 鈥�There Will Be Blood鈥� was adapted from Upton Sinclair鈥檚 novel 鈥淥il鈥� and 鈥�Atonement鈥� was based Ian McEwan鈥檚 novel.
It鈥檚 too bad that so many more people will see the movies than will ever read the books, but on the other hand it鈥檚 great that the films will give those books new life.
What about next year?
