I am reading Joseph E. Persico's Nuremberg: Infamy on Trial while thinking about Burma, my country of origin. Persico's book is an amazing piece of research, scholarship, and dramatic presentation. The defendants are shown as human 鈥� depraved and misguided humans, but nevertheless, humans. Surely a strange bedside table book, but then life is strange and these things happened not too long ago.
