The Hearts of Horses by Molly Gloss is a wonderful story 鈥� tight, with almost poetic writing. Gloss shows amazing skill at creating and communicating characters and situations with well-chosen words. An earlier book by the same Oregon author 鈥� 鈥淛ump Off Creek鈥� 鈥� is also top-notch.
