The Church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we鈥檝e aimed 鈥渢o injure no man, but to bless all mankind,鈥� as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.

My latest favorite book is The Geese of Beaver Bog by scientist and author Bernd Heinrich. His books (鈥淢ind of the Raven,鈥� 鈥淏umblebee Economics,鈥� 鈥淲inter World鈥�) just keep getting better. This one sends me outdoors with fresh eyes and mind to observe the advances of spring.
